Friday, January 31: Horses & Horse Showing 101, followed by a Happy Hour. We're not going to call it a required event, but if you can mark your calendars and come out for the evening we guarantee you an enjoyable evening, and you'll leave with some new horse knowledge.
We'll be discussing the basics of horse safety and logistics (how do I get my horse out of the field safely, how should my horse stand in cross ties, what counts as "bad" horse behavior, how do I safely lead my horse, what do I do if my horse gets loose, etc.)
Kiana will also be giving a horse showing tutorial. If you're interested in showing your horse at all this year, we really recommend you come. She'll be covering the basics (thing like what do I need to wear, what should I bring with me, what is a course map, what are points and how do I get them, how does my horse need to look for the show, what kind of tack do I need, etc). Bring your questions and we'll be happy to answer any and all of them! Start time 5:00. SIGN UP HERE TO PARTICIPATE!

May 15: The Connected Rider Clinic. Susan and Kiana will be co-hosting this clinic. Did you know horses mirror our energy? There are countless sources of research-backed data that prove what almost all horse people already knew. But if horses are mirroring our energy, what's our responsibility to the partnership? When we ride, are we focused too much on our horse? Or too much on ourselves? And where's the balance? This clinic explores the partnership between horses and their humans. Specifically, what does it feel like to be in partnership with your horse. AND, if you want more partnership with your horse, what's the best way to do that.
