Are you looking for a place where horses AND humans both thrive?
As a longtime equestrian and barn owner, I know how transformative a positive barn culture can be.
And I also know that many of us—at some point—have experienced environments that left us feeling drained or devalued. Whether it was cliques, unclear communication, poor treatment of horses, or just a lack of respect, those experiences stick with us.
But here’s the good news: the culture is shifting.
Across the industry, riders and owners are raising their standards. We're prioritizing compassion, fairness, and community—not just in how we care for horses, but in how we care for each other.
More and more equestrians are seeking something better.
A place that feels safe, supportive, and ethical.
A place where your horse is seen as an individual—and so are you.
A place that reflects the love that brought us to horses in the first place.
At Lucky Charm Farm, We’re Building Something Different...
🐎 A barn where riding is fun again—peaceful, joyful, and a reminder of why you chose horses
in the first place
🐎 A barn you call your happy place because of the support and camaraderie surrounding you
🐎 A barn that emphasizes learning, curiosity, and growth, not rigid rules or outdated
training methods
🐎 A barn where your whole self is welcome, and personal growth is encouraged; we value people from ALL backgrounds and at all levels of skill
🐎 A barn where your horse is cared for by a team of skilled, kind, experienced humans
(see below for more detail about our staff)
🐎 A barn that thrives on mutual mentorship—you’re supported and respected for what you
bring, what you’re willing to learn, and what you’re willing to teach others
🐎 A barn where vets, farriers, and bodyworkers say: “We love working here”
🐎 A barn that treats your horse like the athlete and INDIVIDUAL they are—young, old, or in
between
🐎 A barn that feels like a healing place if you or your horse have been left with scars, trauma,
or sadness from previous barns/training experiences
🐎 A barn where there is no pressure to compete, upgrade your horse, take more lessons, or
do anything you don’t want to do.
🐎 But also a barn where we are fully capable of helping you achieve your goals, including
showing at world-class venues, working with high-level trainers, and buying the horse of
your dreams
🐎 A barn where we believe in transparent pricing.
🐎 A barn where people come and stay, because they feel seen, safe, and supported
If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, welcome to the family.

Our Incredible Staff
I truly believe we have the best staff at any barn in our region! They are deeply committed to each horse here and spend a substantial amount of time and energy getting to know each horse as an individual. If your horse starts eating differently, drinking differently, using their shavings differently, standing differently in their stall, or simply looking slightly different, our staff will know. But don’t just take my word for it, here are some of their qualifications:
-
Equine vet-tech with over 40 years of industry experience, working on race tracks and with thoroughbreds for the majority of her career. Her knowledge is incredible and I have yet to see her faced with a situation she can’t handle.
-
Barn Manager with several years of barn management experience (and a public health policy degree) who also teaches beginner lessons and runs an active summer camp!
-
Barn Owner with a degree in psychology and an active coaching practice, with over 15 years of experience running a barn and putting horses and their humans first!
-
A trainer with a background in dressage and show-jumping who is fascinated with biomechanics and helping you break down and understand WHY things are happening in the way that they are with your ride
-
Incredible bodyworkers (massage therapy, chiropractic care, and energy healing) who come here regularly and love to work with us.
-
Relationships with excellent veterinarians in the area
-
Support staff who love being here, are pleasant, helpful, and kind to the horses and the humans who live here!

What Our Clients and Providers Say...
“Lucky Charm Farm is truly a gem in the world of equestrian barns. The trainer has been instrumental in our child’s riding journey, and the entire environment is both fun and laid-back. Our horse is thriving and so are we—it’s our second home.” C.G. - Current Client
"As a chiropractor who regularly works on horses at this barn, I’m consistently impressed by the level of care and thoughtfulness behind everything they do. The people are warm, grounded, and genuinely committed to the well-being of every horse. The facilities are stunning—well-maintained, functional, and yes, the heated stalls are a total game changer. What really stands out, though, is the community. It feels like a family here—supportive, kind, full of laughter, and clearly driven by a shared love of horses. It’s an absolute pleasure to be part of a barn with this much heart and quality." — J.C., Equine Chiropractor
"The trainer and barn owner understand sport horses and their unique needs. The trainer has made the biggest impact in my riding. She breaks down every step and every round, able to spot my strengths and weaknesses, and knows the exercises to get me where I want to be. And in all of that, never compromises the horses. I have never seen them over train or over jump. The horses needs always remainthe priority." - LJ - Current Client
I came into the equestrian world later in life. A friend of mine owned a horse and invited me to visit Lucky Charm with her and her horse, Eli. It literally changed my life. I loved the environment (and the horses of course) so much that I ended up leasing and then buying a horse within six months. The atmosphere is unique. The horses are everyone's priority but the camaraderie is friendly, respectful and supportive of each other. And no other owner and barn staff will take care of your horse with as much love and commitment as Lucky Charm Farm. It is my peaceful, happy place. - A.S.
I have boarded two horses with the McCusker family. The care of the horses is their top priority! Not only are they outstanding at providing full care and services to my horse, the communication about his well being and progress is incredible! The barn staff know horses and are excellent at providing care. The training for my younger Hunter/Jumper has been amazing, patiently bringing him along properly. The barn environment is super supportive. Also, they work with an outstanding vet. A very nice group of boarders. I love Lucky Charm Farm and am grateful to have landed there! - JC
